LBN Court Case Postponed but there is good news

The LBN Appeals Court Case has been postponed to October 25th but it seems that the license will be issued either today evening or on Monday. However we have not received confirmation from LBN regarding this matter.

It seems that once they receive the license they will have to forward it to the Magistrate's Court in order to resume operations.

However none of this information is confirmed and we are awaiting the confirmation from LBN. We would like to request all of our fellow bloggers to keep us updated on the latest regarding LBN as the days progress.

We hope that everything will be sorted out soon and LBN is back in action.

"The TRC has not obtained the presidents signature and requested for one more week to do so. Court granted time until 13th October noting that this is the “FINAL” date for a settlement. - Shirantha Herath"

So whats so great about the court verdict today...its just keep delaying the entire legal process...Sri Lanka has got to have the worst legal system in the world

LBN is no better than the gram seller on the street corner. Pay the goddam bribe and keep your subscribers happy!! Instead of screwing them!!

Shirantha is not fit to watch any form of tv for the rest of his life

MR is getting back at the muslims mainly in the southern suburbs for not voting for his party in the municipal elections!!! (second highest vote was for the UNP muslim candidate)

He may have miscalculated the effects of giving the Saudi TV channel for Muslims during this Ramadan period. Sad that none of the so called muslim ministers have not pushed for this.

Sad that LBN & Shirantha fo not see the Light!! May you'll be ....... !!!!

Does it mean that LBN had operated without TRC & Media Licence prior to suspended?

LBN handles this case very unprofessionally. Nobody seems to know what is happening!!!! Their attendance at court is Good, listening to judges is Better, guess the Best part of it……………………………….. “confident of resumption of services by the next hearing date”

Time to finally say goodbye to LBN, as shirantha is just a puppet in the hands of MR. There is a bigger plan to suppress the poor, screw the middle class and make the politicos rich.

Dumb are the subscribers holding onto a box, waiting in vain. Dreams On!!!

The LBN Mangement are a bunch of rouges. Try out their execs on the phone on how NOT to do be courteous!!!

Looks like nothing will happen until the 25th so we all got to wait till next week. And then next week they will say to wait until november and so on.........

Yes. It is high time to look for alternatives.

If you visit CBN blog you can see enough options. Best is dishTV with many supper quality channels.

LBN Management - At least plan for a well liquidation before being bankrupt soon.

One rep just told they will get the lisence today and will definitly start next week..the delay is due to repairs it seems...i dunno how reliable this is anyway...might be a scam to buy time till the next hearing

Mr. Farook from LBN informed that definitely they are getting the licence today & they will resume transmission from next week onwards.

BUT…
These LBN representatives are telling the same story 3 months before also…

Do you still beleive these useless reps? How can they re-commence without a media licence?

BTW, media minister is yet to draft the new regulations for issuing media licence.

You can guess the duration.

Remove the cable down the road and sell as many GI poles as you can to the local hardware, you can recover your losses and invest in a new cable system. LBN management why no news. If all the LBN customers start doing the above I'm sure you'd get off your lazy ass and start doing something. At least update your reps and update on your website.I read this blogg to get updates you could easily post updates from court cases on your website, yet you dont have the courtesy to do so, and dont tell me a story about releasing information because the only information is the case is postponed, at least put that up.Shirantha why dont you post something here Friday or Monday you were supposed to get the license now its Tuessday.
