Dharmavahini is a locally proudest channel according to the info given during the telecast….The picture quality was excellent in the digital network. Seems to be balanced channel line up for the viewers, I was told that in digital network customer could set the channel line ups according to the list. Even unwanted channels could be edited from the system.

Thanks LBN for keeping what they promised. Please ensure more telephone lines allocated for the hotline. That area needs some development.

BIG LBN has only 45 premium channels.

DTV will soon gain on you.

You will someday regret that you stayed with Lanka Shitband Networks. Just wait and see...

And anyway, new additions are only for existing customers. The network has still not expanded.

LBNCable, Sudhar and all other LBN fucks, FUCK YOU ALL!

You will all pay for making the wrong choice.

You will soon learn about what Mr. Herath does to get money. Apart from LBN.

You will realise that you are at risk of falling prey to his dirty work.

Just wait and see...

Haven't heard of test transmissions, Arnold (FAKE)?

Now Dialog is properly providing all new channels to the correct packages as we expected. No need to pay 25/50 rupees.

Meanwhile LBN created some shit religious channel to compete with The Buddhist.

No one had even heard of the channel before.

Thats why The Buddhist became Sri Lanka's first Buddhist religious channel. Not Dharmavahini.

No insult to religion though. Just not happy to see that LBN and Mr. Herath are trying to mislead customer by launching a so called PROUDEST channel using ancient recordings and fucked up videos.

LBN is shit.

@hellbreeze

To my knowledge there is no difference between analogue or digital coverage area as they use the same cable network. The difference is the box (decorder).

Next option would Dialog TV.

Hiru,im a cometcable customer for over 8 years.Im fed up with there arrogance and the way they treat us and right now there's nothing to watch except the tennis matches.I live in Kotte and LBN does not cover the analogue service in my area.So th only option is to go ahead with LBN digital with the dish.I do not wanna switch over to DTV as there seems to be many problems bigger problems than comet. So if anyone could help me and advice me how to ge ta digital connectin i would really appreciate it.

If you have plans to take LBN connection, then its better to go their head office and talk with them. I don't have any knowledge about the areas being covered but I can tell if you have a good talk to them, then definitely they will find a solution.
It will be really good if you can find the nearest place they are providing the service right now. Then you will understand how much sooner they can provide the service.

Just for your information. Don't attack me for it.

When I first considered buying pay television, my first thought was LBN. At that time (2004) I think they had around 45 channels.

I lived in an area not covered by LBN. But I didn't know that. I went to the LBN office in Kirula Road and met them. They said there was no coverage in Kotte. So I asked them if they would be expanding there any soon. They said that they will be expanding very soon.

I waited about a year. In 2005 the CBNsat was launched. I was tired of waiting for LBN to expand. So I bought CBNsat in December 2005. (Comet was never in my list; they never fulfilled their promises, and there was little hope in their technology.)

So I hung on CBNsat. Now that Dialog TV is developing, I probably won't change any time soon, even for IPTV or LBN.

@ Hellbreez
Anyway, you too should try talking to them. Now that LBN is developing again, it is possible that they may expand. There will be no loss in trying.

Maybe they are better now. By the sound of the discussions here, I think the only problem in their service is the limited coverage and customer care (sometimes). They have a good price for quality channels. I reccommend you using LBN if they expand to your area.

Otherwise your only option is Dialog TV, who aren't as bad as they sound really. Or you can wait till SLT IPTV launches.
